If you sign in (staff of a partner organization)

We keep:

• your work email, your name and job title, and the organization you belong to
• when you last signed in
• your progress in each module: where you stopped, whether you finished, your best quiz score and the time spent
• your answers to the questions in a module, including the short survey at the end

We use them to sign you in, to let you pick up where you left off, to give you your certificate, and to improve the modules.

Signing in

There is no password. We email you a sign-in link that works once and expires in 1 hour. After that, a cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. AdoptionLab Campus sets cookies only for this, and to open a shared preview of one module (for two hours). They are not used to track you.

We store only scrambled copies (hashes) of sign-in links and sessions, so our records cannot be used to sign in as you. Every connection uses HTTPS.

Who can see it

• AdoptionLab.AI, which runs AdoptionLab Campus.
• Your organization, so it can keep its training records: which modules you have started and finished, when, and whether you passed the final quiz. Your answers to the questions in a module and to the survey are shared only as totals, and any group of fewer than 5 people is left out, so no single person can be picked out. Averages, such as quiz scores and survey ratings, follow the same rule.
• Our service providers, to run the service for us: Render hosts AdoptionLab Campus and its records in the United States, and Resend sends the sign-in emails.

We do not sell or rent anyone's information. AdoptionLab Campus has no advertising, no tracking pixels and no outside analytics.

Free courses (no sign-in)

• There is no account and no cookie.
• Answers are counted anonymously: a running total for each answer, with no name or address attached.
• We count page views, how many people press Start and how many finish, as totals. Bots are left out. So the same visit is not counted twice, the connection's address and browser type are held in memory for 30 minutes. They are never written down.
• The name you type for your certificate stays on your own device, in your browser.
• Your email is kept only if you choose to add it at the end of a course, with your name, job title and organization if you give them. We use it only to contact you about AdoptionLab.AI. Ask, and we delete it.
• If you are signed in to AdoptionLab Campus when you start a free course, it opens on your account instead, like any other module, and your records are kept as described above. If you took a free course signed out and added your email at the end, signing in later with that same email marks it complete.

Patient and client information

AdoptionLab Campus is not built to hold information about patients or clients. Please do not type any into your answers. Email addresses and phone numbers typed into written answers are removed before anyone reads a report. Because no patient information is involved, we do not sign business associate agreements.

How long we keep it

Records stay until they are deleted. Sign-in links expire after 1 hour and sessions after 30 days. If you or your organization ask, we delete your record: your account, your progress, your answers and your reviews.

AdoptionLab.AI keeps backup copies of the records on its own devices for safekeeping, and may keep an encrypted copy on a drive stored in a secure place. Backups are not shared. A deleted record can stay in an older backup copy until that copy is replaced or deleted.
